To drive awareness of the new, faster Virgin Trains' service by inspiring Liverpudlians to travel to London by train
Elvis thought big: we turned Europe's largest digital screen into a live, interactive poster.
The outdoor poster site in Liverpool was ingeniously used to engage in personalised, one-to-one communications with the people of Liverpool for the first time. The Elvis team created the software from scratch in order to make the idea work. Our writer had to combine the quick thinking of a stand-up comic with traditional headline writing skills to come up with lines that not only reacted to live events around the poster, but that also related back to the quick Liverpool to London journey time message.
Virgin Trains saw an uplift in sales of 10% in the first week, including a massive spike of 62% on day one. The story was picked up locally and nationally in both traditional press and online, and the campaign has won 3 awards and has been shortlisted for 4 others
